My Thunderbird earring are inspired by where I live. I am in Arizona and have been here for 12 years now and Love things native and southwest. I appreciate the cultures here and the Many Beautiful people and so I made these for my Local shows and it is one of my good sellers here. The Symbol of the THUNDERBIRD has several meanings depending what Tribes you ask but for my Husbands family it is a Bearer of Happiness and Good omen, others have it as a symbol of strength,power and Nobility. The Lakhota People believe its is the Gaurdian of Truth and will strike you with lightning when you Lie. I love this if only it can Happen Oh i would wear them Everyday LOL :D
These earrings are made from 2/3oz tooling leather stamped with the native American sympol for Thunderbird I then attached 3 Feather dangles from the bottom using rings.
Then it's attached to a post that has 2 turquoise colored beads and a Metal spacer in the middle its attached to a standard earring post but can be changed due to allergy reasons
I have dyed these in my Dessert Tan with brown Ant. Gel
The total length from top of post to bottom of earrings is 3.75" long
As with all my leather it's Custom you, can get it done in a different color,with different beads,no beads,no feathers etc. Just send me a convo and I am happy to help you
